NAUTICAL SALUTE HAT'S

Support Nautical Salute, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit veteran support organization founded by Army combat veteran Shawn Hibbard. After serving in Afghanistan and facing the challenges of PTSD and reintegration, Shawn discovered that time on the water — quiet, open, and grounding — helped him heal. He created Nautical Salute so other veterans could experience that same sense of calm, connection, and purpose.

Based in Leesburg, Florida, Nautical Salute welcomes veterans from all eras and branches. Their message is simple:

“If you wore the uniform, you’re family.”

Nautical Salute focuses on community, conversation, peer connection, and nature-based support rather than clinical treatment. Through therapeutic boat excursions, veterans can spend time on the water fishing, talking, relaxing, or simply being present in a calm, pressure-free environment.

The organization also helps veterans build connection through shared experiences, judgment-free conversation, and supportive resources focused on PTSD, TBI, relationships, and emotional recovery.
